Essence of growth in modern civilization is speed and accuracy. Every entrepreneur in the competitive market aims at putting into place an industrial measurement and control design that would ensure time economy and output optimization. This is the system followed by almost every company in the fray and each year around 25000 of them are entering the scenario. Time economy ensures reduction of production, optimization of output ensures consequential enhancement of profit and overall results are stabilization of the organization.

Any Instrumentation design which boasts of being efficient and claims fulfilling the requirements of modern society has to take into consideration all these aspects including automation. Those who are industrial engineers will see that their existing plant are optimized while those who are in designing job will try to build up machines that give real high performance.

Therefore, project planning will certainly involve the followings: -

1. To optimize operations that is taken up in the plant, attempt should be made to upgrade the qualitative aspects of integrating the real time measurements;
2. To reduce the time frame of the project using better tools;
3. If the plant and machineries are computerized and controlled using information technological methods, then throughput can be improved with loops generating greater speed and by using algorithms that allow advanced control.
4. A good instrumentation commissioning should aim at not only reducing the time used for the product or services but also to optimize the existing system of automation.
5. With a proper designing of a machine that would provide high performances including a mechanism so that the products or services are marketed in short span of time, you can enhance your trade and plant efficiency to a great extent.
6. Using IT facilitated machinery shedding the customary semi automatic and manual machines gives the system much better functionality.

However the most important factor in an Instrumentation design is the overall reduced cost towards life cycle services. This includes implementation, maintenance, and also final measurements of the industrial tools and an objective assessment of the success and failures.

In these days of computerization, no automation or instrumentation commissioning could be conceived of without its use. One of the best platforms for such task is the LabVIEW; a high level graphical user interface oriented programming language. The program executes on an automation controller that is programmable too. The platform can be customized to suit your requirements.

The industrial measurement and control system mainly aims at addressing the problems of growing complexities in the industrial sphere. Such management with IT tools requires scalable platform with suitable hardware used and in addition quite efficient and powerful software. Another vital aspect is monitoring. With suitable software designed both project planning and monitoring becomes easier and you can accomplish both tasks online.

Basically the measurement and control system is put in place to get a feel of the pressure management in the industry and at times the flow management trends of the economy. Understanding of the analytical measurement system is vital to the success of your business endeavor.

Tips for Turning "lessons Learned" Into "best Practices"
By: Adele Sommers | 22/10/2007 | Business
By incrementally capturing 20:20 hindsight (lessons learned) and turning that hindsight into 20:20 foresight (best practices), you will achieve far greater long-term success than if you simply ignore or forget what occurred once a project ends. This approach can greatly reduce the negative effects of attrition on a company's intellectual assets when people leave because they quit, retire, are laid off, or were temporary workers to begin with.
