Exhibition stands - the key to success at trade fairs

Posted: Jan 27, 2011 |Comments: 0 |

These days we can do product research and buy pretty much anything online. Increasingly some people feel that they can do anything and everything without ever leaving their desks. Which is OK, up to a point.  However, when it comes to business, trade fairs still have an important role to play. They are an ideal place to show off your wares to prospective customers and network with people from within your industry. People still want to meet with and interact with one another.

If you want to make a success of your visit to a trade fair, then exhibition stands are a key factor. In order to get your company, product and service noticed you need a stand that is clear, visual and welcoming. I'm always amazed when I walk around these events, just how many stands send out mixed or unclear messages. There are hundreds of exhibitors and I only have limited time. I can't stop at all of them, so I need to know from looking at the banners what that company offers.

Exhibition stands require a little thought in their design, so even if you have some strong ideas of what you want from your stand, it's best to consult with experts in order to bring your vision to life effectively.

If your current stand has gotten a little tired or isn't getting you the results you hoped for, then maybe it's time to consult with specialist exhibition suppliers. Not only will they help you design and build something more effective, but they can supply you with everything else that you need to make your attendance at a trade fair a roaring success. They can help kit you out with things like pop up stands and literature holders. So you can get your message across and encourage people to come onto your stand and take away leaflets and literature. You'll have a uniform look, with everything branded to your exact specifications. Visitors will be able to see easily and clearly what you do and why you do it well. Encouraging them to stop by for a chat. Soon you'll find the leads and enquiries piling up. Sure there is an initial outlay involved in smartening up your stand, but you will soon recoup it in the form of extra sales.

If your stand isn't professional, visitors will assume that your organisation isn't professional. So get on the phone or go online and talk to exhibition experts who can help you out. I hear some people dismiss trade fairs as being old fashioned and out of date. I think that's nonsense. If these people just made a few changes they would find there are still plenty of leads and sales to be had by attending.

If you have a new design in mind for your new stand then that is a great starting point. Send your design over and then you can start discussions on how to improve it and then ultimately bring it to life. The whole process won't take long and soon you'll find yourself the major talking point of the next trade fair you attend.

When most companies need to create a free-standing point of sale or advertising display, a roller banner stand is usually the common choice. Arguably, the popularity of the common banner stand means that it can be 'lost in the crowd'. Free standing cut-out displays, sometimes called standees provide high-impact and are a cost-effective alternative.
