In the recent years information industry in China has undergone a sea change. China occupies the number two position for the telephone and network users. According to a survey in China relating global sourcing and international trade, 22 per cent of the population in China use internet. This trend has given impetus to the development of e-commerce business in China. Many laws and regulations related to management of China's e-commerce have come into existence. The potential of Chinese businessmen in global sourcing has grown due to e-commerce.

Continuous expansion of the business in the e-commerce industry has opened new development prospects in Chinese market. A number of issues like business policies, credit terms, market of consumers and payment method have a big effect on e-commerce in China. But still there are no adequate measures for protecting the e-commerce business in China. Low cost of production, which is seen as a result of growing e-commerce activities, is attracting more manufacturers and suppliers.

E-commerce in China is based on development of Internet applications. Hence, is important to tap the internet technology fully to derive maximum benefits. The industry is further supported by a highly developed economic system and low cost production in conformity with global sources. To give a boost to your business, if related to e-commerce, it is important to develop the medium, which is the Internet, as internet application is the fundamental base of e-commerce. Large scale computerization in China was adopted a long time ago but due to the dearth of investments its pace was slow in the begining.

Large statistical finding for internet application directly influences the Chinese e-commerce. More internet applications mean more business in e-commerce. Fixed investment required for building China's e-commerce is very high. The major hindrance to the fast development of China's e-commerce is deeply rooted in the habits of people. People have formed an opinion that online marketing may cause losses to them. Internet is still not considered very reliable by e-commerce and online import and export. Most Chinese people prefer to get information and knowledge from Internet but when it comes to buy online they step back or show very little interest.

These are some of the basic facts related to China's e-commerce industry and all of them have a great impact on Chinese economy.
