Five Tips for Purchasing the Perfect Car Magnets for Your Small Business

Finding, designing, and purchasing the perfect Magnetic Signs can seem like a daunting task of hit or miss logic, but it’s really not so difficult if you follow a few simple steps in the designing and ordering process.  A car magnet is a product that, when produced correctly, can be an amazingly helpful advertising tool.  Use these easy tips to purchase the perfect Custom Car Magnetics:
1)    Keep It Simple!  A lot of customers make the mistake of thinking that the more information they put on their car door magnets, the better.  Unfortunately, this is almost never the case.  The best way to get your information across on a car magnet is to keep it simple.  Your company name, phone number, and website, along with one or two services provided is more than enough information for someone driving by to read on magnet signs.  Plus, because we’re living in the age of the Internet, many customers will see your name on the auto magnet and Google your information later, which is much easier than copying down a phone number while driving.

2)    Full Color Graphics – Your New Best Friend.  When designing magnetic signs for cars, it is important to remember that potential clients have an extremely limited period of time to read the information – about four seconds, if you’re lucky.  High quality, full color graphics are now taking the place of listing an endless amount of services on your magnetic sign.  Also, full color magnet signs attract attention that one and two color auto magnets no longer receive.  Example:  A landscaping company does not need to list mowing, pruning, gardening, etc. on black and white vehicle magnets.  It looks boring, and most customers won’t have time to read all of the listed services anyway.  Instead, try: A beautiful full color image of a well-kept garden, yard, or even a lawnmower that will quickly tell a customer what you do without listing it.  If you don’t have access to high quality image, keep in mind that  Signazon.com offers free templates with images for every kind of business that you can imagine.

3)    File Size Matters!    The image that looked so great on your business card might not be type of file, size file, or of high enough quality to look the same when it’s blown up to fit large car magnets.  Unless you have a high resolution photo or your logo/image in vector format, your file may look pixilated or distorted when enlarged.  Save yourself some time and frustration, and zoom in 200%-800% on your file.  If the image doesn’t look good, then it’s probably not going to look good when it’s blown up to be printed as a magnetic sign either.

4)    Measure! Measure! Measure!  Sure, the standard sizes of magnets for cars are standard for a reason.  But, it’s better to be safe than sorry.  Before you go online and order door magnets that aren’t going to fit, take the time to measure your car!  Also, look for bevels and body side molding.  Your car door maybe large enough to fit a huge custom car magnet, but if there is auto molding straight across the middle of the door, you’re not going to be able to use the entire space.  Extra Tip:  If your car door is made of fiberglass, you can’t use magnetic car signs – try vinyl decals or lettering.

5)    Be Aware of Your Options.  You have limitless options as far as car advertising goes.  If personalized car magnets aren’t perfect for you, try Rear Window Graphics, Static Cling, Vinyl Decals, or Vinyl Lettering.  If you want something that is permanent, then magnetic signs for vehicles may not be the best choice.  Signazon.com offers much more than car advertising magnets – the perfect product is waiting for you.  With a little information, you are sure to find it!
