How To Get Search Engine Traffic To Grow Your Business
In many ways marketing a website is similar to marketing a store in your town. In each case you must find a way to get noticed in the crowd and entice the consumer to visit your business.
Just imagine yourself as the owner of one of the many establishments in a local shopping mall. With so many stores offering the same products and services that you do, how do you draw the customers to your store rather than them spending their money in somewhere else? The answer, naturally , is a strong marketing strategy. The same thing goes for Internet marketing. The big question is, "How can I drive traffic to my Web site and increase profits?"
Since most online users most often use search engines when searching for Web sites, it is a good investment to use them to promote your own Web site. Here are five great ways to get started with search engine traffic:
1. Try pay per click with Yahoo or Google. Bid on the most common keywords to generate highly targeted traffic. However, you must be careful when learning this strategy as it can be expensive if you donÕt know what you are doing.
2. Optimize your web site content, making it rich in keywords targeted by search engines. Doing so helps place your site at the top of search engine results, generating increased traffic.
3. Create simple "how to" articles and submit them to various web sites. You can then create a back link to your site which will eventually generate site traffic. This is one of the most important strategies but it takes time to see the results.
4. Include a blog spot on your web site. Blogs contain a lot of words that you can make use of as keywords or keyword phrases. Blogs also are an ideal means of communicating with your audience and to address inquiries, comments or suggestions that you may find beneficial to your business.
5. Create or subscribe to other RSS (really simple syndication) feeds. These are simple ways to bring fresh content to your site for both visitor interest and search engine attraction. However, make sure that these are valuable to your potential customers.

By: www.mywebusage.com | 02-07-2008
