Fixing a leaking hot tub
By: JimR | 30-11-2005
Hello. I have a leaky hot tub. It leaks about an inch a day, so I end up topping it off twice a week or so. It's pretty annoying. I've gotten under the tub to look for the leak(s) and it is near impossible to find anything under there with all of the insulation in the way. So I'm looking for another solution. There are products out there for fixing leaks, such as the stuff you put in your car radiator that is supposed to seal any leaks. Would I be able to use something like this in my hot tub? I figure I could put some stop-leak solution into my tub, remove the filters, and run it until it stops leaking, then drain, rinse, and refill the tub to get rid of the chemicals. Has anyone ever tried this? Too dangerous?
