It is funny how changing something as simple as the color of your wall can create a domino effect and change the way the family acts and how energized they are. Most people are used to deal with white walls or some variation similar to it, however people react differently and feel more comfortable when the house walls have different tones, they tend to get more creative and their personalities change for the best.
People who create study rooms might benefit from different tones of the color blue, it has been said that people are able to concentrate better in a room which has the walls painted with this particular color. Blue has the properties of sedating and calming people which can improve mental activity and reduce visual noise and anxiety caused by other colors.
Red is a very beautiful color, in some countries such as India and parts of the Asian continent, doors are painted with this color because it is said to attract good luck and great fortune, however excessive use of this color is not good since it doesn't allow people to relax, it creates anxiety and anticipation. If you have a fitness room, this might be the perfect tone to use on its walls because it energizes people.
Yellow and its variations are very good colors to use throughout the house since it represents hope and happiness, in Asian countries such as Japan it represents courage, this color mixed with other tones of blue create a great atmosphere which allow people to feel warm and relaxed which improves their concentration and cognitive skills.
Other great tones to use around the house are light greens shades of purple which break the monotony of pale colors. The excessive use of the color white can create uneasiness, expectation and anxiety which makes people rather uncomfortable which is why people associate this color to places such as hospitals, clinics and similar establishments.
Color is an effect of light and since we don't live in a black and white world you should take advantage of the many shades and lights of color to create a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere around your house. Using different colors around the house can help people relax and improve their skills as they are more likely to be able to focus on certain parts of the house.
