What exactly is attraction marketing anyway?
If you have been marketing your MLM Business online for any period of time then you probably have heard this term thrown around. The term attraction marketing is a concept developed largely by a guy named Mike Dillard. Mike wrote an ebook called Magnetic Sponsoring which explains the concept of attraction marketing in great detail. This book is a life changer and I highly recommend it for anyone serious about marketing their MLM business online.
Mike's book has 3 main points. First you must build a list. Then you must build a relationship with that list by offering great value up front. Only then may you have permission to market to your list.
Simply put attraction marketing can be described as adding great value to others up front without expecting anything in return. This can be in the form of training, information, or any goods or services you can provide. People will follow you, because you've helped them in some way.
You must then continue to add value to the people on your list. The more value you give them the more they like you and are willing to buy from you down the road.
MLM Attraction Marketing also has to do with branding yourself as mlm leader by teaching and helping others.
The key here is to do this with the sole intention of helping people, not selling them anything. When you do this consistently people will become "attracted" to your content and willingly follow you. This also positions you as a leader.
Only after you have established a relationship with someone may you market your goods or mlm opportunity to them.
MLM attraction marketing is a great concept, because all you need to focus on is helping and adding value to people. They will automatically want to buy whatever your selling after getting a huge amount of value for free on the front end.
I was never good at "hard selling" people on my business opportunity or products. This felt very awkward to me. I think the reason for this is that the techniques I was taught in the past were unnatural. I was like many people prospecting and pitching to any warm body that would see my business presentation in attempts to sponsor them into my primary MLM business opportunity. This never works. MLM is all about relationships. This is even more true in the online world.
That's why attraction marketing is a perfect way to build a mlm business online. You create valuable content and give it away to thousands of people via the internet. Many of them will be attracted to you and follow you.
