If you want to blend in and be ordinary, just stop reading now. But I know if you're reading this, that can't be you! Most everyone really wants to be outstanding, not just average. We all want to bring added value to our customers and clients and create a big buzz in our community. We want to be the very best we can be. If this were easy, it would be commonplace. But it's not either. You are special because you are not common and are willing to do whatever it takes to have an extraordinary life and an extraordinary business!

Does this sound like you?

Daily you arise and go through the motions and do the necessary things to conduct your business. Day in and day out there are consistent things that need to be done and you either do them yourself or you hire help. What could you do to amplify these actions? Could you make these tasks easier or could you do them more efficiently...and if so, how? What could you do to make them more profitable or take you less time? Make a list of the daily actions that are necessary in your business.

It's so easy to breeze right through the day without giving it too much of a thought. We are working in our business and not on our business. To step back and look at the tasks you do objectively seems like it would take more time than just doing it the way you have always done it. Think about what it would look like for your productivity if you set aside some time to look at your daily and weekly actions and planned out where you could amplify your efforts.

As you take time to review and assess, you will be creating a wonderful new habit for yourself. The habit of raising your standards and making mundane tasks more extraordinary. What would that look like for your business? I'm sure you can think of ways to bring added value to your customers, your services and your products? Yes, it will take more time to step back and answer these questions, but the extra time will pay you back later with amplified results.

Pay attention to what you do each day and keep this question in your mind, "How can I amplify this?Taking 15-20 minutes daily to review the actions we will take, making notes about how to increase our efficieny will make a dramatic difference in our productivity. If you really want to ramp up your business, set up a brainstorming session with a few key people who understand your business, and spend an hour or two taking note of all the possibilities for enhancing your business and increasing your productivity.

It could be administrative work, planning for marketing, closing sales, producing products or actual service work. By planning consistent, small chunks of time each day, much can be accomplished.
