Make Your Company Feel Different with Die-Cut Marketing Materials

The Die-Cut Process

Die-cutting is a form of cutting using sharp steel forms.  It can be done to labels, boxes, containers, printed sheets, and more.  It can be done on a flatbed press or on a rotary press at the same time that your printing is done.

Die-cut printing is a cost-effective and fast way to get the look of a cut product without having to hire someone to spend all day cutting by hand.  A special cutting blade is molded into the desired shape, known as a die, and is then used to cut through the material.  Often, multiple sheets are cut at once to speed up the process.  The steel blade leaves a clean, sharp edge that has a professional look to it.

Stickers

Stickers are a great marketing tool.  They can be stuck almost anywhere, and they are a fun freebie to hand out to the masses.  Choosing to go with a die-cut sticker means that you have nearly unlimited potential for making your stickers pop.  Stickers can be cut into any shape, allowing you to create a cool, custom look that people will want to keep.  Die-cut stickers can be used for bumper stickers, outdoor stickers, or simply colorful pieces of artwork to stick on notebooks, coffee mugs, scrapbooks, and more.

Die-cut Flyers

If you have ever watched someone handing out flyers on the street or sticking them in people’s doors, you probably have also noticed how many of them head straight into the garbage can without a moment’s notice.  Why is that?  They all look the same – boring, photocopied, and obviously an advertisement.  The idea with die-cut flyers is that you want them to stick out from the rest.  Not only will the thicker paper give your flyer a professional feel, but a fun shape will help it to stick out from all the normal, rectangular flyers that get stuck in doors are on a daily basis.

Business Cards

Everyone knows what a business card looks like – small, rectangular, and often white with some form of printing on it.  Imagine how they would react if your business card was a different shape.  You could do something as simple as rounding the edges to give it a softer look, or something as extreme as choosing an entirely different shape.  Whatever you choose, going with a die-cut business card practically guarantees that the person you give it to will give it a second look.  And if it gets thrown in a drawer with all the other business cards, it also means that your card will stand out from all the rest.

Die-cutting tends to be a little pricier than traditional printing, but it is often worth the cost.  Remember, you only get one chance to make a first impression with a client, so you want to make sure that your marketing materials stand out and feel different.
