Manufacturing PR Firm Drives Continued Process Improvement

TR Cutler, Inc.,(www.trcutlerinc.com), based in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida is the largest public relations firm specializing in marketing outreach for manufacturers. Cutler recently discussed trends in Manufacturing PR and the development of the Manufacturing Media Blitz that consists of a 90-day campaign to drive traffic to a client's website and increase product and company awareness. According to Thomas R. Cutler, President of the company, "This program allows manufacturers to tip toe into PR and quantify measurable results. Any manufacturer with a lean manufacturing or Six Sigma orientation knows if it cannot be measured, it does not exist."

The key component of a lean manufacturing process is to look to eliminate waste and continue to do so ongoingly. According to Cutler, “The last area of lean is usually sales and marketing because manufacturers are more prone to cleaning up the plant floor; it’s where manufacturers are most comfortable.”

Cutler noted that all short-term Manufacturing Media Blitz assignments have converted to long-term clients once the client can assess the measurable impacts of the program.
