More Traffic Means More Visibility and More Credibility

Every blog or website needs visitors; otherwise, what's the point of it all? Visitors to your blog or website are also referred to as traffic.

Basically, there are two types of visitors:

1.    Unique visitors. These individuals visit, read, then leave. They may or may not bookmark your blog or website for future reference. They may or may not return. If they don't, they may think that they've gotten all they could from your blog or website and feel that there's not much point in returning.

2.    Returning visitors. These people visit, read, and interact by leaving comments, participating in polls, and so on. They bookmark your blog or site and intend to return because they want to see the response to their feedback.

Which type of visitor would you like to attract? Traffic is essential to the success of your blog or website. But how can you generate more traffic? A good way of achieving this is by encouraging your visitors to interact with you.

•    Reply to comments.
•    Respond to emails.
•    Hold contests regularly.
•    Publish a newsletter.
•    Request for feedback via discussions, polls, etc.

How do you encourage visitor interaction?

•    Conduct a poll.
•    Answer questions in your guestbook.
•    Post a tip every week or month.
•    Publish a video tutorial.
