Ward Homes, the renowned Kent-based housebuilder that is part of the Barratt Group, has announced that work has already started on three new sites in the county that will provide a variety of property styles for homebuyers to choose from. The initial phases will release a range of new apartments and new houses in Kent starting at just £109,995, providing a wealth of choice for homebuyers hoping to find a property there and demonstrating the company's confidence in their local housing market. In all, well over 600 new homes are going to be constructed on the three sites with a total sales value in excess of £150 million.
Tim Nabbs, Sales Director at Ward Homes, says: "Many house hunters in Kent think that now is a good time to buy because prices are lower than in 2007 and interest rates are historically low. We believe that this will help sustain the local housing market whatever happens to the national economy.
"We would not be making this significant commitment to the market in this area unless we were confident about its prospects in the medium-term. By building these developments we will be bringing new jobs to Kent. We will also be creating well-designed, competitively priced new homes which local people need."
The new Ward Homes developments just announced are:
Capstone Heights, Chatham: The initial release of 36 new homes will comprise a mix of one-, two- and three-bedroom homes priced from £109,995. In all, some 55 homes will be built, some one- and two-bedroom apartments and two- and three-bedroom houses. The new scheme is roughly 1.5 miles from both Chatham and Gillingham railway stations, which provide numerous commuter services and routes to Dover, Canterbury and Ramsgate. A show home opens at the site on Saturday 19th March.
Locks Meadow, Headcorn: Of the 44 homes planned in total for the site, the initial release of 33 two-, three- and four-bedroom homes will cost from £189,995. Two-bedroom apartments and a variety of house styles with two to four bedrooms ensures interest from all sorts of homebuyers. Around eight miles from Maidstone and ten miles from Ashford, this small village offers good transport links: Ashford International is only two stops down the line, for high-speed and international routes, and there's a direct commuter service to Charing Cross. The M20 is just 20 minutes' drive away. A show home opens on Saturday 12th March.
Trinity Village, Bromley Common: Just a mile south of Bromley High Street, Trinity Village is a huge project that will eventually see 536 new homes created in London's largest borough. Just 32 homes have been announced in the initial release: three two-bedroom coach houses and 29 three- and four-bedroom townhouses. Comprehensive road, rail and bus connections make travel locally or further afield a breeze. Excellent local amenities schools and protected parks and countryside make this an ideal location for the family-oriented commuter, with a 20-minute fast service from Bromley South to Victoria. Prices start at £199,995.
