In today's business world many business owners are scratching their heads wondering how they can advertise their business during difficult times when they have no money for advertising.

Many business owners might be tempted to not advertise at all and rely on word of mouth referrals to grow their businesses but that form of advertising or marketing can only go so far before a business stops growing all together.

What are promo items? The question should be what aren't promo items? A promo item can be anything from a coffee cup to a baseball cap that has a company name, logo or website address printed on it.

Promo items are an highly effective form of advertising and marketing because the more times a promo item is used, the more times a company logo or marketing message will be seen by the user of that promo item.

Which Promo Items Should You Choose?

To find out which promo items you should choose the first thing to do is ask yourself: what items are my customers more likely to use on a regular basis? If you think about your customers and create promo items that they will find to be useful, your promo items will be more effective than just creating a bland promo item that your customer is most likely to use then throw away.

Some of the most effective promo items are coffee cups, hats, tote bags, tee shirts, note pads, organizers, pens and tumbler mugs.

Cost Of Promotional Items

Promo items are very affordable compared to other forms of advertising like print, online or television advertising. For example: you can purchase a quantity of 100 coffee cups with your brand name and logo printed on them for about $200. The return on investment that you will receive from these coffee mugs is huge compared to the return on investment that you would receive from running advertisements online that sometimes cost a minimum of $500 or more per advertisement.
