When it comes to promoting website traffic you have various methods you can choose from. Of course, if you are truly savvy at SEO then you can create metatags, create a site map, create keyword rich hyperlinks or include descriptive keywords in your image tags. However, it doesn’t have to be that hard!
A simpler way I discovered in the last 24 months is to use the technology behind Web 2.0 for promoting website traffic to your main website. First of all, let me explain what Web 2.0 technology I use.
For promoting website traffic to my site I use two main sources:
- Squidoo
- Blogs
Many would argue that blogs are not really apart of Web 2.0 and in some ways I would agree. But they are still a part of my strategy of promoting website business to your business on autopilot. So, I suggest you use them for the simple reason that search engines LOVE blogs. I’m not sure why, but they do!
The first thing you need to do in promoting websites efficiently is to create a pertinent keyword list. The easiest way I’ve found to do this is to use Google’s keyword tool. There are many tools out there but this one seems easiest to me.
With this tool I put in the website address I am promoting and it will give me keywords that have the best chance of promoting website traffic to my URL. I will often put in my competitor’s websites too and see if different keywords pop up. After I have my list I move on.
Next, I will create a short article (<500 words) about one of my keywords. I will put the keyword in the title, the first and last paragraph and throughout the article in about a 2% distribution. This means for 500 words in my article, 10 of them will be my keyword. Finally, make sure the bottom of your article contains a “author’s box” that says who you are, what you do and promotes your main website with a URL hyperlink.
Now that I have my article ready to go I will get to work on putting it to use. The first thing I will do is go to Blogger and create a NEW blog with my keyword in the title. I will then post my article (and author’s box)and then go to a service like PingGoat or similar and ping my blog immediately. Now I’m done!
Finally, I will go to Squidoo and create a lens using my keyword in the title of the lens. I will post the SAME article and author’s box into the lens as well. I may also spend some time making my lens more attractive by adding pictures or other pertinent content as well. But, the entire process should take less than 30 minutes.
So what did we just do? In about 1 ½ hours we created an article, blog and squidoo lens wrapped around one of our keywords. And in reality we created a selling message that will live in cyberspace forever! And, when it comes to promoting website traffic you must have a foundational sales method like this.
Where do you go from here? Your next job in promoting website traffic is to repeat the process every day. Your goal should be to write an article, create a blog and a squidoo lens every day for the next 30 days. Yes, it’s work but once you do it you’re done. And, you have a chance to earn money forever for work you do today!
