Purchase From China and Global Sourcing

Purchase from China was seldom a new phenomenon, a fact any veteran multinational purchasing and global sourcing manager can vouch for you. But attempts to equate purchase from China with global sourcing and multinational purchasing have always been done based on individual experiences and so are irrelevant if you consider the fact that the pressures of global sourcing have always transformed work cultures in industries and entire societies, especially when the scale of operations are so big as that prevalent in China. In any case, purchase from China is not only enticed by quality but also the country's ability to serve global sourcing and multinational purchasing firms without constraints of any kind on four pillars of successful global sourcing i.e. quality, quantity, cost and time.

Strategic purchase from China is a boost to global sourcing companies involved in multinational purchasing. Not withstanding the cries that purchase from China can cost you a bomb and in fact not cheaper is unlikely in the present day condition and the continuous purchase from china by the seasoned global sourcing and multinational firms should stand testimony to this. It's not an altogether different matter that multinational purchasing and global sourcing companies would take care of after sales service of what they purchase from China, one fact that applies to all in the global sourcing business. Multinational purchasing is not an easy task for those purchasing in small lots of a wide variety of things without strategies, example, to purchase from China. Apparently most of the multinational purchasing groups are tycoons in their respective industries with ability to wield a lot of clout. However, this scenario cannot sustain for long, given the pressure of bottom line on global sourcing community, and efforts are afoot to setup on of China's ambitious multinational purchasing center and catch the attention of multinational purchasing community in a short time.
