It may seem as though it’s too late to think of booking a luxury beach house on the coast of the Mediterranean, but due to the economy there are still holiday rentals in France and other Mediterranean areas to be found.

The Languedoc-Roussillon is also much quieter than the more tourist-focussed Cote d'Azur, so you can enjoy the area and sights in relative peace.
The sights include the harbour of Collioure, which was the setting for such great artists as Picasso and Matisse to find their muse.
