Revat in Business

Have you ever wondered what kind of self-defense training is good for adults? You have done the martial arts thing when you were a kid and it was fun. But now, you are in the real world with responsibilities, duties and every day tasks. You may have a family already and less time to workout and stay in shape. Your job is very demanding and doesn’t leave you much leisure time for yourself. You travel on business weekly, sometimes even internationally and wonder if you make it home safely. Now you may even think there is not much you can do to ensure your safety. But this is only half the truth.

Of course, it seems easier to put the responsibility on someone else. But as you know, this is a poor man’s attitude. You did not become successful by letting someone else make your decisions, didn’t you?

WT Chicago has created a new self-defense program that has been proven to be the best in self-defense for professionals. We have stripped off all unnecessary techniques and put together a self-defense curriculum that offers a fun and efficient workout. Using this new program, participants gain a new and advanced understanding of their own body and body mechanics. They learn what kind of fitness is good for them and what isn’t. You may think it all is good but that is not true. A workout curriculum designed for a professional football player is not good for someone operating on an executive level in the corporate world.

Why is this program different? Commonly known workout, martial art and self-defense programs only teach you techniques that work on a physical level. You get physically exhausted, but mentally you are not involved. That is one of the reasons why many people don’t stick with their fitness program. What good does it do if you can’t move after a workout? You want to feel the workout on different levels and not kill yourself.

The focus of this new program is the nervous and reflex system. Training your reflex system is the only way to get a physical and mentally stimulating workout. The exercises help you to get rid of old patterns and replace them with new and more effective reflexes. This kind of reflex training is unique and a very effective way to manage high stress situations, may it be in the board room or somewhere else.

In our experience, self-defense scenarios in a controlled environment are the most effective way to learn these new skills. The instructors at WT Chicago, Inc. are highly qualified and experienced. They are able to guide you through the foundation and basic training and make sure that you are challenged but not overwhelmed. This kind of training will put you in control of everything that is happening around you and you learn to stay calm while others get stressed out.

As many of you know, staying calm in a storm is one of the most important skills to have for any of today’s leaders. If you cannot control yourself and get emotional in a board meeting or with clients and competitors, you will be replaced with someone more suited for this kind of job.

Everything in business (i.e.: phrases, strategies, tactics) is compared to war. Business is about competition and competition is about winning. If you are not in it for the Win you may as well go home and don’t come back, don’t you agree?

And here is the secret. Most analysts and strategists think that it is the financial and material resources that give you the winning edge. Having unlimited resources is definitely a factor that can decide a battle, it is only number two on the list. The most important factor that decides over winning or loosing is the people; more specific, the determination to finish the project, the loyalty to the cause and the ability to overcome obstacles. There are endless examples of the “David and Goliath” story in today’s business world that only confirm that. The more people with the same determination, foresight and will power you have in your team (or business) the higher your chances to succeed even against competitors appearing bigger and stronger.

"It is not the strongest of the species that survive, nor the most intelligent, but the one most responsive to change."
-- Charles Darwin, scientist

Translated into today’s world, don’t be a bully. Be firm, efficient and maintain the ability to change in a moment’s notice in order to stay in control and succeed.

Most women fear attacks from behind because these attacks are obviously not apparent until they happen. Revat is the most complete self-defense program purely designed for professionals living in an urban environment.
