Every security agency is likely to be searching for security skill that may be used in case of every emergency situation that can occur. But these agencies are fully aware that the national security is not likely to reside in expensive techniques; on the contrary, skilled people are to be searched and trained in order to handle the crisis situations. Listeners and analysts are to be found in order to supervise all the security measures because trained people are the key to every safety tactic. Every homeland-protection mission has to complete its human factor because success can be achieved only through skilled and trained people who manage to deal with every emergency situation.
The agencies are also aware that the training of these people is likely to be money and time consuming; the good workers are likely to stay enough in order to justify all the initial investment in them. But there are many people who abandon the training programs without looking back. These people may be lured away by other areas that are more lucrative and creative than the security area. The private sector is likely to be more appealing and the security agency has to know how to attract its own people in order to choose its training services. For instance, if a person desires to be involved in vip protection, he will have to take training classes in order to become able to do this job. There are many skills that are likely to prevail when it comes to choosing the right person who can handle the vip protection. Tests will be performed in order to find out more about the abilities of every candidate.
Another aspect is the one concerning the national security; this issue is of most importance especially if the nation has to deal with terrorist attacks. Therefore, the federal agencies will be looking for the right people to train for security reasons. But these agencies are experiencing a difficult time when it comes to recruiting, retaining and training the people who are interested in working in this area. Every security agency has to make sure that it has enough qualified employees in order to perform all its duties. In the case of a federal agency, these duties may also reside in the constant protection against the terrorist attacks. It is all about convincing skilled people in order to be trained to become security agents; this work is quite difficult and challenging but the results are likely to pay off all the initial investments.
This task is not to be regarded as an overwhelming one because this is not the case; on the contrary, the human resources are to be attracted in this field because the intelligence community is all about its constant transformation. The agencies may have trouble finding the right quality job candidates; but they should not feel discouraged by this current situation. The selective criteria are to be used in order to train the proper people; the security personnel have to be trained and convinced to get into the security affair. This process can be very complicated and some of the recruits may actually move on to something different that belongs to other areas of interest.
The agency needs to make sure that all its candidates are willing to be trained in order to become security agents; useless training is to be avoided because it is very expensive and even time consuming. For instance, the agency needs to be sure of every candidate in order to spare its money and time. No agency can afford training a candidate in order to find out that this candidate cannot produce the necessary papers in order to be employed by the agency. Long and unnecessary processes are to be avoided; every session of training new hires is likely to come with its problems. Even the qualified training instructors can experience a certain shortage when it comes to their present number; every agency is fully aware that the key to its success is making its employees want to be trained.
Training can be very costly; but there is another aspect to be considered too, namely the ineffective training. This ineffective training can be quite dangerous because the agents who experience this type of training can put themselves and the persons they are protecting into dangerous situations without being fully aware of the direct consequences. Therefore, every training process must be long enough in order to transform a security agent into an effective one who can manage the crisis situations in cold blood without taking unnecessary risks. Every trainee has to respond well to all his training sessions in order to convince the agency that he is the one for a particular job.
