DirectBuy of Buffalo, the leading home improvement and furnishings club with direct insider prices, recently donated $800 worth of furniture to the Chinese Auction held during the 21st Annual Owl Family Picnic at the George F. Lamm VFW Post in Williamsville on August 23.

Proceeds from the Chinese Auction went to several area non-profits, most notably Camp Good Days and Special Times, Mercy Flight of Western New York, Former Troopers Helping Hands and the St. Adalbert’s Center.

The charities benefitting from the Chinese Auction include:

• Former Troopers Helping Hands – an organization dedicated to fulfilling the wishes of all children and young adults with life-threatening illnesses and their families.
• St. Adalbert’s Center - dedicated to helping poverty-stricken individuals and families. They empower people to take responsibility for their lives and encourage self-sufficiency through dignity and compassion.
