Synergyst Estimates European Wind Power Market to Reach 90GW in 2010, 130GW by 2015
Despite the global recession and slow economic recovery, European wind power market showed a robust growth in 2009 with an annual addition of more than 10GW in installed capacity. Wind power accounted for almost 40% of all the electricity generated in Europe during the year with investments in the wind sector reaching €13 billion in 2009.
