How to know if you are becoming a slave of your work? How to find out if work is taking more attention than needed? How to know that your life is suffering because of excessive work and thoughts of work? For any work slave his/her enjoyment is in work. Ask a work slave to get away from work for a short time and he/she will read out a list of what all work is still pending. Let us test if you are a work slave?
Take a typical day. Find out how many hours you spend working, traveling, with family, watching television, and other activities. Except on the holidays, how much percentage of your time is spent on work? Is it more than seventy percent? Are you giving enough quality time to your friends and family during weekdays or they get to talk to you only on holidays? Please ask them and find out. Non-stop work also decreases our efficiency. Is that happening to you? Here is a small test. Suppose you leave your worktable for some time, do you feel like going back to it as soon as possible?
How to decide the optimum time required for work? How to find out if we are not becoming its slave at the cost of everything else? Can there be any standards? Difficult. Why do not you find out few friends who are happy and are successful? Talk to them about their work style and time devoted to work. List out your life goals and decide about how much time, energy and attention you should give to work.
A balanced proportion between work, entertainment, time to be spent with friends and family, hobbies, social work and other activities has to be maintained. Concentrating only on one activity creates unhappiness in life. A balanced time division will feel you satisfied in all the areas of your life and lead to growth and better quality of living.

me and my ex have been broken up for the past 2 months and we had been together for 1 1/2 yrs. we had become really close, we talked about everything and anything.... even if it seemed to be the stupidest things to talk about. we always had fun together and went out quite often, we joked around with each other alot to even if other ppl didn't know what we were talking about we would know what the other was talking about. we understand each other so well. and can carry on a conversation for hours. now we have sorted out things and are still really close even though we are just friends. at times it seems like we are together even though we aren't and he agrees with that. but the thing is he has gotten hooked on this other girl within the 2 months we have been apart but she has given him so many problems and it hasen't worked out really, he knows it too and that he should have left her a while ago because of all the problems cause it wasn't working out ya know, but he said that since he got so close and attached to her so fast he is afraid to let her go right now. but I think he is working on letting her go especially since they haven't been talking much lately.she has told him she just wants to be friends and will not be any chance of them going out. also he tells me that when we both are ready he would like to get back together and so would I. but he just wants to make sure this other girl is out of the picture first and nothing else will get in the way. so do u think there is any chance of us getting back together??

The sound on my television keeps going out. I use Time-Warner Cable.This usually happens during the day.It happens for seconds at a time, sometimes the sound is out for almost a minute. Could this be happening because of a nearby computer or something else that sort of sucks out the sound from my T.V.? Everybody in this building is sharing the main cable wires i.e. legally. So can this be happening because we are all sharing the transmission? Thanks!
