I spent 31 years in public education at the high school and college levels. I learned quickly how important acronyms were. As a teacher of English and Social Studies, acronyms were essential to both curriculum and student performance. Each student had to have an IEP, a student Individual Educational Plan. Counselors had numerous acronyms for course titles, descriptions and tests (FCAT, SAT, ACT). Administrators had acronyms for everything imaginable, from building codes to staffing, teacher assignment and curriculum programs. Knowing and understanding these acronyms were essential to everyone's educational success.
Eight years ago I made the transition from public education to the classroom of business marketing and entrepreneurship. Just like education, the business arena is full of important acronyms that are essential to success. Here are some very common internet ones:

Most marketers and business builders use these and many others routinely. However, many of the newbies as well as the seasoned veterans of marketing are missing the most important business acronym out there today. Because they do not know about it, and possess it, they are falling far short of their potential.
