Those who do not think that the crusades were a good idea and those who think that they were a great way to spread the word of Christ have to see that what is taking place across the globe by some radicals in Islam is very similar to what took place during the beginning of the crusades. While the idea of being forced to convert to Islam or die sounds ludicrous to many people, that threat may become very real if total war is declared on the west by radical Islam. Especially since a great deal of those who practice this religion are in high populations in western countries.
