People want to run their own business and be successful. A lot of times this means doing more than one thing to help reach the monetary goal they set for their business.
One way that allows people to reach that goal and not do a lot is to outsource. When you outsource projects this gives you time to do things that make you money that you can't or won't outsource.
When people outsource projects, they usually hire a Virtual Assistant. Virtual Assistants are also known as a VA. Virtual Assistants are in high demand right now. People in all sorts of businesses are using them. These people are realizing they can make more money by hiring someone to help with the work load.
Virtual Assistants can do many tasks to help others grow their businesses. You can offer all kinds of services depending on your background and knowledge. As a VA you can do administrative work, create and submit newsletters, blog posts, create and update Squidoo lenses, ad submissions, Search Engine Optimization, transcription, website design and update, and so much more.
VA's can do so many things that people don't even realize they can do. Businesses are starting to use VA's rather than full time employees because they only pay them for the work they do. Business owners don't pay for office space and they don't pay for insurance or bonuses.
The great thing about owning a Virtual Assistant business is you pick and choose your clients, you set your own hours, and you make as much money as you want. You don't have to ask for time off and you don't have to go through yearly evaluations.
A Virtual Assistant doesn't need to be certified to do the work, but sometimes being certified can come in handy. If you do a Google search on Virtual Assistants you will find websites that offer training and certification. This is a great way to receive training on duties that you don't have the ability to perform. When a VA is certified they are usually given a paper certificate and a button to place on their website.
Virtual Assistants also have organizations that they can be apart of that will help potential clients feel comfortable using them. These organizations also help VA's with clients, because business owners will go to these places for help in looking for a VA.
When you first start your VA business, clients can be very limited. There are a few sites that lists jobs for people to bid on. Guru.com is one of those sites. You sign up for a free account and then you have up to 10 jobs a month you can bid on. Guru.com sends an e-mail each time a job that meets your abilities becomes available. Then you go out and bid on the job and give a bit about yourself and why you would be good for the job.
So, if you have skills that others can use, you should really consider opening a VA business.
