Obviously there are countless other factors contributing to the success of your business, but without your suppliers, you will have nothing to sell! Unless you are producing the product yourself of course.

You can spend countless hours searching the internet and find nothing but fraudsters or middlemen posing as suppliers. Have you ever searched the internet for suppliers? You’ll find countless websites claiming to be the cheapest and best wholesale or dropship supplier on the net, but when you compare their prices, they are selling above retail?

Just try a quick search on Google and see for yourself. The reason why it is almost impossible to find real suppliers using search engines is the way that search engines work. The search engine would use your search term and break it up into keywords and then do complicated calculations based on what you typed to find what you were possibly looking for. Search engines allocate each web page a Page Rank based on various factors like: Meta tag keywords, keyword density, the amount of web pages linking to that specific web page and loads more. SEO or search engine optimizing is big business for a reason. Anyone can now have a website posing as a legitimate supplier.

There is however an alternative. Wholesale and Dropship Directories offer a valuable resource of information. Most good directories will have organized lists of Wholesalers, Dropshippers, Forums where you can discuss suppliers and a supplier verification system where people can leave their comments and about a particular supplier. Directories will give you all the information that you would need to find the suppliers that you need. Imagine all the time you can save!

I’m not saying that all the information isn’t out there on the World Wide Web for you to find on your own. All I’m saying is that, if you take all the benefits of joining a Wholesale and Dropship Directory into account, you will have a great advantage above other businesses.

As the saying goes: “you get what you pay for”. There are many directories out there on the web, each with its own flavour. Some are cheap and some are more expensive. I have memberships to numerous Directories and I use them to cross reference my suppliers and to find out as much as possible about them before I send them any money. Some Directories even offer you packages that might include your own web page and tons of business related information.

So now you have to ask yourself if spending only a little money to access all this information might be worth it.
