Work At Home Moms - 5 Ways To Earn Extra Money

There are an abundance of opportunities on the Internet for work at home moms to make extra money. Amongst these good opportunities, it is true that there are some bad ones, but letting the minority spoil the majority is never a good approach to take in any walk of life. With that in mind, lets look at five of the best ways in which work at home moms can supplement their income.

1. Freelance writing. Consider being a freelance writer and editor for a company or for individual clients. In the fast growing world of the Internet, great content is always highly sought after. Whether you're a specialist in one topic, or can write about everything, you'll be sure to find someone in need of your services. It's easy enough to find clients; you can either join some Internet marketing forums or sign up on a couple of freelancing websites.

2. Website or graphic design. Those with knowledge of Adobe Photoshop can earn money online by designing graphics for others. There are many types of graphic design, including minisites, eBook covers, WordPress themes, banners, image ads, logos, and more. The possibilities with design are really endless and people will pay top prices if you can do excellent work for them.

3. Being a virtual assistant. Being a virtual assistant is kind of like being a secretary, except that you can work from your own home. You may be answering calls that have been directed through to you, responding to emails, updating websites or databases, or anything of that sort. So long as you have good interpersonal skills, have at least an average standard of reading and writing, and are proficient on software such as Word and Outlook, then is absolutely no reason why you couldn't be a virtual assistant.

4. eBay dropshipping. In addition to selling your unwanted items on eBay for extra cash, you can also start a dropshipping business on eBay. This requires you to find a supplier of a product that is in demand and to then list that product on eBay. Once you make the sale, you then place an order with the supplier for that product and have them mail it directly to the person you sold it to, with you taking a cut of the profits. This is a really great, risk free way, to make money, as the only upfront cost is that to make a listing on eBay, and you don't have the hassle of keeping an inventory or posting items..

5. Blogging. This is more of a long term business model, but blogging does not take a lot of effort per day, so you could easily start a blog while pursuing other ventures. To get started, you just need to set-up a Wordpess blog on your own domain, with the total cost of doing so being about $10 a year. Then, pick a topic, and write a post a day about it everyday. Over time, your readership will grow and you can earn money from the various ads that you have positioned on your blog.
