You can now view the search results on a map!
The map search feature has now been extended to our main site! Sextant is proud to present the hugely useful feature- Google map search! As the only French property website to offer this, we hope you'll agree it really makes a difference.
It's very easy to use. On the home page, select the search criteria of your choice as usual (region, type of property you're interested in etc) for instance "Brittany" and "mill", then click on search. You've now got a more precise selection of properties to view; in this case there are 16. Now simply click on the "map view" tab as it is automatically set to "list view". Lo and behold, the properties all appear on the map, with little blue squares with a white house in them.
Importantly, you can see how far they all are from each other and how far they are from landmarks and towns. The scale will give a good indication of distances. When you click on a little blue square, vital information will come up such as price, number of bedrooms, their Sextant reference and of course, a photo. When you click on "more details" the full description will come up with further information on the property. If there is more than one property under a postcode, the full list will come up under each blue square (otherwise you'd not see the map for all the properties!), so you can easily view all those in that postcode area.
Don't forget, these locations are based on French postcodes. This means the properties may not be on the exact spot featured on the map, but will be very close by.
