This is not to minipulate the other person. Rather, it's simply to get on the same page. When someone else sounds like you when you talk, immediately you become either attracted to what they are saying or you listen more attentively. If they use buzz words like "What's Your Twitter Strategy" or "Have You Created Your FBSLP (Facebook Static Landing Page). Then, you take these words and apply them to your thank you card.
Tip 3: Write Some Sort of Headline
This isn't a sales letter. What I mean by headline is something that they will remember immediately from your discussion. It doesn't have to be so business everytime, just something they know you talked about, but not necessarily know how important it was to you, though.

We all waste time and when you see someone take the time to do this, it works in remembering you and seeing that you take the time to remember them. Tip 6: Send It A Few Days After You Meet
It is always better to send and receive a note late than not at all. But make sure you don't send it too early or it will seem llike it's a 'routine' for you and not something that was personalized just for your business friend.

If you are going to bother thanking someone, put enough pride and emotion into it to use a new piece of paper. But go a little further.
