Coffee stores are always going to be a great place to stop by and hang out since just about everyone loves coffee or tea. Evidence of this is all over, as coffee shops and new businesses are popping up all over the country. This obviously shows that a lot of people love coffee. Coffee has become essential to our culture as many business and personal transactions have been disputed over a cup of coffee.

If you have a business that you want to promote, you can capitalize on coffee’s popularity by producing promotional coffee mugs.  

So, how should your business take advantage of distributing promotional coffee mugs?

1.    As mentioned earlier, many people love to drink coffee.  And if you give away free coffee cups, then people will be sure to use them since they love free things! It is unlikely that it will ever be thrown out like other promotional tokens, such as caps or key chains, so you never have to fret. Not everyone can use baseball hats. Plus, people probably already own more than enough keychains.

People will pass up on pens and key rings since they get those every the time. Also, people usually enjoy getting bigger items over something tiny. free coffee mugs can be used all year long since there is never a season you can't use one, unlike calendars which are only really good at the start of the year.

4) They make great gifts for your patrons during the Christmas season. They are easy to procure, package and mail out. Unlike a shirt with your logo, a mug can be used for everyone. For example, you never need to worry about purchasing different sizes for coffee mugs. One size fits all. You also would not hurt anyone’s feeling like what can happen if you give someone a shirt one size bigger.  

So how do you go about making your promotional coffee mugs?  Here's a couple of matters that should be acknowledged.

1. The most important is what material you want to employ for your mug. There are plenty of supplies to choose from; like crockery, porcelain, metals or plastics. Think about how the end product should reflect what your business does. Metal would be a good consideration if you want to look like a powerful company. For a more affectionate and personal look, ceramic may be a good choice, especially if you are trying to appeal to mothers. A plastic promotional coffee mug will communicate that your business is available to everyone, even those with lower incomes.

2) Think how you need to market your company. Do you just need to get your website out there and do some name recognition with your company slogan? Or do you want to really show folks that you mean business, so you put all your business information plus your website on one side of the mug and your company logo on the other? You can also take the best of both worlds by displaying the company name on one side or just putting your trademark on the mug.

3) You can take it one step further if you have the money to do it and personalize certain cups for your best customers. But this may not be the most cost effective measure for you to do if you are cash strapped. If you still want to appear that you worry about your customers, a cheaper way is to just put their names on the container boxes.
