SO WHAT SHOULD YOU BLOG ABOUT?

This post is not only going to show you how to come up with blog topics, it's going to give you a proven method to get more ideas from
your topics, and those ideas are going to be topics readers are in search of.

Over the last few years I have had a few blogs, and when I first began that question was always my biggest hurdle.

WHAT BLOG TOPICS SHOULD I COVER?

Of course we all have our passions and things that we have a lot of knowledge in, and those should be your first choices of
what to blog about.  But you will still struggle finding a good topic to cover.  Also, as someone who blogs regularly, you want to get some readers and subscribers...

So the question really is, how do get good content and topics that are really what people want to read about?

That is the question I'm going to answer.  In the process of answering that question, you will also learn how to use online tools (specifically Google External Keyword Tool) to be able to pinpoint your blog topics and blog ideas exactly as
you need them to be, as well as generate multiple other blog topics that spring directly from another topic.

Let me explain,

People use different search engines simply to search for specific things, if you make your blog  reflect what those surfers are are searching for, then you are going to better your chances at getting readers.  That is really what it's all about.

Google External Keyword Tool will give you the exact phrases and the number of people searching for that topic.  As well as it will give you variations on those keywords, and keyword phrases.  Also, it will show you how much others are competeing against you for that topic.  By using this to help you, you will be able to blog about whatever topic or idea you
want, and get the best chance for gaining readers and subscribers.

Before you start thinking that you are going to have to figure out a new program, or learn how to do all this research, let me point out that it's the easiest thing you will ever do.  By taking the time to use the tool, your content will be more targeted, and you will generate much more content from topics you are interested in currently.

Remember also, you don't have to be an expert on any one idea, you just have to learn something and post about it. 
Let me show you a little example on a subject that I personally know nothing about and how you could get information on a TARGETED area of that topic and then get many ideas from it.  All by using the GOOGLE EXTERNAL KEYWORD TOOL.

Let's take the subject of 'HOW TO MAKE SUNFLOWER SEEDS'.  Don't laugh now, but I just researched it in about 5 seconds, I can tell you already that there is good possibilities of getting readers on this topic.  That may not seem to be a very good topic, but use this as a springboard for your own topics.

(remember though, keep the topic relevant to what you are trying to attract)

That exact terminology alone currently has over 1300 global search queries for it, and there isn't much competition.  So that would be an excellent topic to write about. I would use that exact term in the name of my post, as well as throughout the post.

So if the subject base of my blog is 'How Things Are Made', I could do research on various topics pertaining to that and blog away.  If I am
specific to the subject of Sunflower Seeds, there is a whole list of terms that GOOGLE EXTERNAL KEYWORD TOOL is showing me on the same
search page that I just used.  Here are some others it is showing me...

Planting Sunflower Seeds
Making Sunflower Seeds
Sunflower Seed Recipes
How to grow sunflowers
Recipe For Pumpkin Seeds (because sunflower seed eaters, may be pumpkin seed eaters)
Facts about sunflowers
...on and on and on
I could keep going with all the good results I got from 1 single page.

I know that seems quite ridiculous, but please, just use this as an idea for your own topics and subjects.

So now you can take the knowledge that you have from the Keyword Tool, and use it to create multiple blog ideas and blog
topics all based around ONE SINGLE SUBJECT.

All you have to do is find the 'SUBJECT' you are focusing on?.  If you are focused on making some extra cash using your blog, then
you can think of multiple things people search for that would target people using their blog for money making purpsoses.

I CAN'T STRESS ENOUGH, BE CREATIVE.  Using the Google Keyword Tool along with some creative thoughts, you will be able to generate many blog
topics and blog ideas from one single subject alone.  Plus, you will be able to select the best keywords that may get you some online traffic to your website or blog.
