Haitian Voodoo

The main believes regarding the Haitian Voodoo is of mythical entities called Lwa (or Loa) who are bonded in the never ending services to a god called Bondyè, as subordinates in the mystical worlds of magical lores This supernatural entitical  being defined as the god in the voodoo world of arts, does not have any kind of effect  in affairs of human lives, and it is to the Lwa that Voodoo worship is directed. Other characteristics of Voodoo include veneration of the dead and protection against evil witchcraft. Haitian Voodoo shares many similarities with other faiths of the African diaspora, including the Louisiana Voodoo of New Orleans, Santería and Arará of Cuba, and Candomblé and Umbanda of Brazil. A Haitian Voodoo temple is called a Hounfour.

In creation, origins and practices of Haitian Voodoo another in human identity is involved which is named as Sèvis Lwa and is in service to the Lwa , There are  strong suggestive elemental aspects from the areas Bakongo of Central Africa, Districts of Igbo and Yoruba in Nigeria which is a Muslim country, although many other African nations have contributed to the revolutionary and evolutionary stages of the Sèvis Lwa, but the most memorable and significantly important contribution come from portion of Haitian Voodoo often overlooked by scholars until recently is the input from the densest home to the rain forests all over the globe Congo. Haiti being a part of the United States of America is also infected by this social and religious menace as the entire northern area of Haiti is said to be heavily influenced, on the basis on a large proportion of confirmed activities and local testaments by a very large mass of population by Kongo practices. In northern Haiti, it is often called the Kongo Rite or Lemba, from the Lemba rituals of the Loango area and Mayombe. In the south, Kongo influence is called Petwo (Petro). Many lwa (a Kikongo term) are of Kongo origin, such as Basimbi, Lemba, etc.

There has been a re-emergence of the Vodun traditions in the United States, maintaining the same ritual and cosmological elements as in West Africa. These and other African-diasporic religions such as Lukumi or Regla de Ocha (also known as Santería) in Cuba, Candomblé and Umbanda in Brazil, all religions that evolved among descendants of transplanted Africans in the Americas.
