Textile Industry is one of the leading industries in the world. The opening up of economy gave the much-needed thrust to the Indian textile industry, which has now become one of the largest in the world. It plays a major role in the economy of the country and hence, textile industry largely depends upon the textile manufacturing and export. This industry is also the largest in the country in terms of employment generation, because it not only generates jobs in its own industry, but also opens up scopes for the other ancillary sectors.

The textile industry was started in UK, still in 19th Century the Textile Machinery Manufacturer production passed to Europe and North America after mechanization process in those areas. After this, Japan, China and India took part in industrializing their economies and concentrated more in this sector. High production of wool, cotton, silk and others over the world has boosted the industry in recent years. This industry is divided into several segments that include cotton textiles, silk textiles, woolen textiles, ready made garments, hand-crafted textiles, jute and coir.


Using in different stages of manufacturing of textile products in textile industries, textile machinery are used by various plants, factories and allied sectors. These machinery have a wide range of uses in various stages of production process. Textile Industry and progress forms an integral part of the history of textile machinery.

There is a wide range of applications for textile machinery. These machines are used for thread preparation, bobbin winding and looms. These type of machines are primarily used in cotton mill, covering plants, wool mill, garment factory; man made factories of fur and trades goods inspection units.
