Andrew Reynolds took us on an exciting journey of how someone from a background of poverty can rise up and become a self made Multi-Millionaire who gives thousands to charity.
Andrew Reynolds explained at the Bootcamp it was his birthday that month. And so for him, it was something of a celebration and looking back over the decades he told us his story which was one hell of a ride.
I always had this idea in my head that you had to be rich or born with a silver spoon in your mouth to get anywhere – the old saying, "the rich get richer and the poor get poorer". But Andrew Reynolds changed my viewpoint completely.
He stood on the stage and with the video montage proved beyond doubt that someone who was raised in poverty could turn their life around and pull in as much as £50million – which is exactly what Andrew Reynolds has done.
The story of his dad delivering paraffin in a van and running a DIY shop was heart breaking. And as Andrew explained his father died a broken man. And it was seeing his father failing to make a decent living despite spending virtually every waking hour trying that spurred him onto searching for an alternative method of doing business.
It took Andrew many years before he had his first inkling of how to achieve this – of how to make money without breaking your back.
He was working in a dead end job at the time, with a mortgage around his neck and plenty of credit card debts. Andrew Reynolds explained how he took a chance by flying to the States and attending a seminar – one that was similar to his Bootcamp but on a far smaller scale.
At that Bootcamp I was privileged to see another side of life and to learn how to join the growing list of self made multi-millionaires. I can't thank Andrew Reynolds enough for creating that life-changing event, the Entrepreneurs Bootcamp at the 02 Arena.
