Wouldn't it be great if every market research company out there gave you ample opportunities to make you more money? There are such companies a select few out there who fit this profile. Unfortunately, Clarion Research is not one of them.
Market Research companies seem to come in all sorts of shapes and sizes, but they are usually one of these three types:
1)They offer cash and prizes for a lot of surveys.
2)They offer cash and prizes for a few surveys over time, or...
3)They grab your info and run.
Clarion Research seems to fit the ladder.
At first glance, Clarion Research seems to be a truly professional site. Founded in 1995, Clarion Research advertises to have conducted projects for numerous Fortune 500 companies. Clarion Research offers studies over several industries and product sectors, and specializes in quantitative research. They have a great company philosophy that explains how they do business.
This is all great to a firm looking to setup up an online survey. Just one question - how exactly do you get paid for all this?
To answer this, we have to look closely at Clarion Research's web panel project. Clarion Research invites the public to participate in any number of their online surveys. Once selected, you qualify to receive compensation or prizes from in exchange for your participation.
Easier said than done. Since the project's inception, I have not heard of a single candidate being accepted into any Clarion Research survey projects. The registration process is frustrating at best, and does not give you any assurance that your private information will be used for survey purposes, if at all.
I am confident, with over ten years of experience, Clarion Research is not in the business of stealing anyone's personal information. Their programs might be a bit more selective than most, and their compensation a bit slower.
However, with so many paid survey opportunities offering great cash returns, Clarion Research may not be what you are looking for.
