Imagine the ultimate online experience...getting paid for jury duty? At first, it doesn't exactly sound like like anyone's idea of fun. But, eJury just might be perfect for you. eJury comes from a new generation of online court experiences. Simply register your name and a few statistics and you actually get paid to become part of an online jury pool.

eJury is online survey company, much like many other market research companies, which help attorneys pre-try real cases, before they advance to real courtrooms. This gives the attorney a tremendous amount of feedback in order for he or she to establish settlement values, strengths, weaknesses, and attitudes in order to improve jury selection and discover effective arguments.

eJury's aim is to be as close to the real thing, as they can possibly get. After signing up, you are placed into a virtual pool of jurors until called upon. If selected with eJury, you are required to pledge an oath that you are not an attorney or a felon, and you will not openly discuss the details of the case; much like a real life jury pool.

However, once you begin the eJury process, things become much different than the real thing, as seen in the steps below:

Step 1: The eJury attorney prepares the Case which contains the perspectives of each party, jury questions used at trial, and personal questions for additional feedback.

Step 2: eJury converts the attorney's Case into an "html format" and posts it to a secure location on their website where only the eJury participants in the county of selection can access the case. The eJury participants in that county are then notified by e-mail that a new case has been posted.

Step 3: The eJury participants return to the website, log in, and then begin reviewing the facts and answering the questions; each clicking a "Submit Verdict" button upon completion. Once the minimum number of verdicts have been rendered, the case automatically concludes.

Now I bet you are asking what is the point to joining eJury? Why is eJury so attractive to most of us who don't like jury duty?

Well, this virtual jury duty experience pays you anywhere between $5-$10 for as about 30 minutes of work. Of course, this is won't make you rich overnight. But, it's an easy way to make some money on a consistent basis.

Of course, there are no guarantees that you will be selected. Some counties utilize eJury more often than others. So, if you are one of those lucky individuals in a highly utilized county, you can expect an easy salary of $10 a week.

This doesn't seem like much. But, since many paid survey sites pay you pocket change for your precious time, eJury could quite possibly be a great time investment.
