The sales volume of jewelry in Yiwu exceeded 8 billion yuan in 2002, which meant Yiwu has become the largest jewelry production and sales base in China. In 2003 it achieved over 10 billion yuan and 12 billion yuan in 2004. Yiwu jewelry industry has entered the fast track of development.
III. Export rose steadily in 2005, alloy jewelry ranked the top
The national sales of jewelry reached more than 10 billion yuan, featuring the three manufacture bases of Qingdao, Guangzhou and Yiwu. It is predicted the sales volume will exceed 180 billion yuan in 2010, accounting 10% of that of the world.
