Home Based Business: Stop Whining Great Content for Your Blog is Everywhere

Are you a home based business owner with a blog? If you're not you really should be, however that's not what this article is about. As a business owner with a blog you know that finding or creating content for that blog can be mentally taxing. Yet in order for you to make money with your blog or get and keep subscribers you need original content.

You should not feel bad about your "mental black hole" even the most seasoned professional bloggers run out of content to post. Some have even resorted to reposting remakes of older posts or digging deep to the bottom of the barrel.

But you really don't need to go to those extremes to keep your readers interested. There are many places to find new and good original content. Here are a few simple yet effective techniques to use that I have found very effective:

Google Reader: subscribe to Google reader alerts for information on your business opportunity niche. And if you diligently read it you can be the first to post newsworthy updates to your subscribers.

You can post your opinion about the story, or create some controversy about the story and get your readers involved, which generates tons of traffic.

Check out fellow bloggers sites: this is perfectly ethically provided your not stealing their content. If you see a particular post you find interesting make a comment on your blog about the competitors post by adding additional input. Or maybe you can put a new spin on the comment. Every media outlet keeps a watchful eye on the competition, so should you!

Internet research: do a simple Google search on your home business opportunity niche. See what's being talked about. Just reading some of these topics can inspire you with topics for your blog.

Check the video site: these are amazing sites. Listen to a few videos on your niche. If you find one that you can add some commentary to pro or con and ask your readers to comment. You can also setup a poll and ask them to vote on whether they agree or disagree with your views.

You can also do reviews: this is great filler while you're working on your inspiration. Look for articles, websites, books, anything in your home business niche that you can evaluate and post a review. If the product you're reviewing allows you to become an affiliate better yet, you could even make some money on the review.

Creating content does not always have to come from within. There are many sources out there to inspire you that can help with content and help generate traffic and profits for your home based business.
