Picture this: you found the perfect Multi-level Marketing Company; you are out of your skin with excitement; they have the most lucrative compensation plan available; the person who introduced you to the company is excited, also, and is enrolling people right and left.

Then what?

You go out and talk to your friends and family about this fantastic income opportunity that has the most fabulous product (or service) since the dawn of time. You realize that you have to have "X" number of people in your downline to start making back the money that you paid to get started and possibly the monthly cost of the product or service. So, you get anxious, you start cramming it down the throats of anybody that will listen. Your friends and family may avoid you because they know that they will get a "pitch" from you. After some time, you have only one person in your downline, two if you count your neighbor that said "oh, what the heck, I'll give it a try for a week or two. At least you'll stop asking me!", and your excitement is dwindling faster than tissue paper in a campfire. Finally, you look at yourself in the mirror and say, "Forget it! This stuff doesn't work!" and the next day you get up, go to work, try to figure how you are going to get rid of the remaining products in your garage (if you had to buy products), and call your sponsor to tell him (or her) you are done.

Sound familiar? Guess what, it doesn't have to be like that. Success in MLM does not mean that YOU personally have to enroll an army of people. True success from any home business comes from putting the right people in your business. How that translates to Network Marketing (MLM specifically) is that all you really need a 2 or 3 "go-getters", somebody that is as excited as you about making money with their own business; somebody that can duplicate a process; somebody that can follow directions. You see, success in MLM equates to duplication. What would happen if you enrolled 2 people that enrolled 2 people that enrolled 2 people, that en... You get the idea. Before too long you would have a monstrous downline! How easy do you think it would be to get some of your friends and family involved once they saw your success? (some people are funny that way!)

So don't let the "Myth of the Downline" discourage you. Find the people in your company that have been successful and do what they did. Be patient and it will happen. And most of all, HAVE FUN!

I have always known that I wanted to work for myself. My dad had his own business and I watched him become very successful. I also saw him at the lowest of lows. My dad’s business was a traditional “brick and mortar” company. He provided a product to people. When I decided to work for myself, I felt like I had to have a product or service in a store front in order to make it real. After years of looking I figured out that it wasn’t necessarily true.

I first heard Anthony Robbins say “Live with passion!” He always said it with such conviction. I thought it was a game or marketing ploy or something like that. It wasn’t until I decided to go into business for myself that I realized what he meant. I figured out that with enough passion for what I am doing and what I am all about, I can succeed at just about anything. At a minimum, I’ll enjoy myself tremendously.

Real Estate Investing - the Perfect Scenario
By: Brian L. Thomas | 10/09/2007 | Real Estate
Most people haven’t got a clue when it comes to investing. I used to fit in that category. The part is that you don’t have to be because there are people out there to teach you. One of the directions I found is Real Estate. The market across the country is prime for investors right now. Some areas are a little more prime than others. Colorado seems to be leading the curve for the rest of the nation so I will focus on the Denver area for the purpose of this article.

Foreclosure May not be your Only Option

What Does it Take to Sell a Home in This Market?
By: Brian L. Thomas | 18/06/2007 | Real Estate
In the current housing market; specifically in the resale homes, it takes more than dropping a sign in the front yard and proclaiming, “Come one, come all. Buy this home!” The keys to a successful home sale are price and salability. Price is pretty self explanatory on the surface; but I’ll get into the details. Salability is the ability to be sold.

If you drive a car (or a vehicle that takes petroleum products to run) then you are probably asking the question, “When are the gas prices going to stop going up?” Good question. I believe the United States as a whole is wondering the same thing. All I can say is that we don’t have it as bad as some other countries.
