The phrase "wealth" was derived from the old English word weal. The term was originally an adjective to describe the possession of great qualities. They are many definitions given by some distinguished people in the society, some of them are given here Adam Smith refers wealth as "the annual produce of the land and labor of the society" 'Wealth' refers to some accumulation of resources, whether abundant or not. 'Richness' refers to an abundance of such resources. A wealthy (or rich) individual, community, or nation thus has more resources than a poor one. Richness can also refer at least basic needs being met with abundance widely shared. The opposite of wealth is destitution. The opposite of richness is poverty. In economics and business, wealth of a person or nation is the value of assets owned net of liabilities owed (to foreigners in the case of a nation) at a point in time.

No one wants to be poor instead all of us dream to earn wealth and become rich but do we know to do this? This question was posted several thousands of years ago and is still continuing. The word "startup" dates from the 1960s, but what happens in one is very similar to the venture-backed trading voyages of the middle ages. They involve technology, so much so that the phrase "high-tech startup" is almost redundant. To start a small company that takes on a hard technical problem. There are four basic steps to acquiring wealth. In fact, these steps apply to virtually anything in life. They are: passion, decision, plan and discipline. First, you have to have the passion to do something. Without passion to do something you will be like a rudderless ship. You will just float around going wherever the currents take you. You will always be at the mercy of those who do have a passion for something. This equates to a life of hopelessness.

Make a right decision at right time. You can have all the passion in the world but until you decide to do something all that passion is just latent. It will never be realized. Do you really want to do something? Do you really want to become wealthy?

Nothing can be achieved without preparation. Without a plan you will move from one idea to the next and never actually get anywhere. So many people do this. That is why so many "get-rich-quick" schemes abound. Having a plan is like containing a step-by-step guide to get you to where you want to go.

Discipline is equally significant and not just planning or choice. Just like dripping water will eventually wear away the stone it is the constant application of your plan and working away at it that will see you succeed. Remember that Rome was not built in a day. There were no pyramids. And neither will be your plan. But chipping away at it as often as possible - preferably every day - will allow you to see results. With respect to wealth, almost every thriving and wealthy person says the same thing - find amazing that you love to do and then find a way to make money out of it. When you do this you will never "work" another day in your life.
