WFG's Harinder and Jagjot Sukhija have come a long way since their life back in India many years ago, when Harinder was running a cable business and Jagjot was running the home. Their journey to North American started when their son Pavneet, a recent college graduate, announced that he was going to leave India to pursue a career in hotel management. Being the close family they were, the couple relocated to Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada to be near their son and started a new life of their own.
Although the move to North America was difficult for both Harinder and Jagjot – particularly the adjustment to the different lifestyle – they both found their way in time. By 2003, Harinder had a job in financial services sales. Soon after, Jagjot, who had only worked in the home before, had landed a job as an insurance representative with one of the largest banks in the nation. She was soon thriving in her career as a leading sales associate, but when Harinder began working full time as a World Financial Group Qualified Marketing Director in 2004, it wasn't long until he realized he needed her help to make the business a true success.
Convincing Jagjot to join the business wasn't easy, since she felt so fulfilled in her insurance career. But when she saw what a big opportunity it was for the family, she came around. By March 2005, Jagjot was also a part of the WFG family. She struggled to make her mark on the business at first, but she eventually found an identity within the organization. Today, the team couldn't manage without her.
Now Harinder and Jagjot Sukhija can boast three successful Canadian offices, in Toronto and Vancouver. They have 21 Qualified Marketing Directors and hundreds of associates working with them. The couple's son and daughter also help out with the family business, Pavneet as a Qualified Marketing Director in Toronto and Tripta as a Senior Associate. Harinder and Jagjot say it is their strong family bonds and commitment to each other that keep the business running as successfully as it has. The two life partners believe it was their fortune to have reason to come to North America, as it helped them become strong business partners as well. They have more time to spend together than ever and are enjoying a good life with their families, which is all they could have asked for.
