In reality no one ever wakes up in the morning logs onto the net for the 1st time, and start making money immediately. As with everything else in life you will find that there is always a period of learning.
Obviously we all learn at different speed and using different methods. If you have been looking around for a home business on the net for a while, you would have noticed that most gurus went through a learning curve. And you and I are not that different, but I do hope you can get to your goal/s a bit faster than me.
You see it took me 2 years of testing the waters looking at every type of business opportunity, reading everything I could lay my hands on. I enrolled on course after course; you know the ones; be a millionaire in 18 to 24 month or $24000 in 24 Hours the lazy way etc... Well what all these did was increase my learning curve and confirm that this is not a get rich quick system. Frankly if that is what you are looking for this is not the place for you. Sorry!
Well in order to achieve your goal/s you must go about it a bit differently than I did. However I found that the first step you will need to do is:
Make a Decision that you will succeed.
This is extremely important as it will trigger a positive mindset that is crucial to your success. Believe me it works. Try it.
So you decided to start your own home business and that you will make it a success, but as I was when I first made that decision you are stuck for ideas!
Where do you start? How do you chose which opportunity is the right one for you? And having made your choice how to you go about;
1st Learning the business
2nd Building a multi-stream system
3rd Make consistent residual income working from home
The great thing with the Internet is that it has a vast unimaginable amount of information at your disposal. Just type in the words home business on Google or Yahoo and you will get 262,000,000 Yes! 262 million entries about the subject. Wow! Makes the mind boggle!
So where do you start?
First, you must learn about the differences of web site promotion. Read everything you can get your hands on preferably free. But don't just read the hype, back it up with the opinions of others who have reviewed the same programs before you. Try and learn from their achievements.
As you progress on this journey you will start to learn more about starting an Internet business, you must also make a decision. Yet another one am afraid.
Do you want to walk into a pre-built system designed to help you succeed, or do you want to build your own completely new system?
If you decide to walk into a pre-designed and complete turn-key on-line money-making venture, then you must select the right venture to walk into. One that helps you:
1 - Learn the business.
2 - Build a multi-stream system.
3 - Make consistent residual income working from Home.
However If this is not for you and you decide to go on this journey on your own, then please do all of the necessary research, planning and preparation that is required for you to succeed.
Decide what you want to do, and then figure out how your website will generate real income.
Test your plan. Research other similar home business models. Study the competition in depth; learn what works for them and what did not work.
Once you have gone through this process it will help you determine how your website will generate real money. You should develop a business plan as well as a marketing plan if not already included. I do encourage you to use assistance from professionals if the need arises.
While creating these plans, you must decide which domain name would be best for your business model, and then register it with a hosting account.
Now that you have prepared your action plans and have gone through several revisions, you then need to start work with a website designer and developer.
Personally I prefer a Joomla template whichever model you chose, as it is easier to change and up-date later on as you become proficient and gain more confidence.
While the designers and developers are doing their work, you will need to consider enlisting the help of a copywriter to work on your site sales copy. I am afraid that when you start up on your own you will need to invest your money on this as it will reward you in the end.
When your website designer and developer have your site ready, you must undertake significant testing, especially those URL's, link to where they suppose to link to, so as to ensure everything works as it is meant to.
When testing is complete, and you are satisfied that it is all working OK and please remember you will be continuously up dating your site so be happy with 'OK'. The idea here is to get up and running with a presence on the net as soon as possible depending on your personal circumstances.
OK so that is done now you should fill in your sales copy ready for launch. As you already have a marketing plan in place, all you will have to do will be a simple matter of joining all the dots together.
Finally you are ready to show case your shop front. As any business venture you will need to spend money to bring your dream alive.
Time and energy can replace money on your journey to starting a profitable Internet business, but I found that money wisely invested can considerably shorten the time it will take to achieve your goals.
