The feat of breaking the sound barrier was a fantastic engineering triumph.
On 14th October 1947, Air Force Captain Charles "Chuck" Yeager in aircraft #46-062, which he had christened "Glamorous Glennis" achieved this milestone in aviation history.

28 years later
By the 21st January 1976 the well known aircraft known as Concorde had begun providing passenger services to a number of worldwide destinations at supersonic speeds.
Concorde set many speed records, which included the fastest transatlantic airliner flight from London Heathrow to New York JFK in 2 hours, 52 minutes, 59 seconds from takeoff to touchdown... WOW!!
This idea of supersonic flight and faster travel was a great idea, and it was an idea that was the stuff of dreams!
Now this is where we place the big HOWEVER!
With a dose of reality
However, reality began to set in on the people involved with the "ultimate toy" which used more fuel on approach to land than while cruising at Mach 2.0.
The high and ever increasing cost of fuel oil and maintenance required for the entire Concorde fleet of aircraft became unsustainable, and now Concorde is a piece of modern history.
So the question to ask is "What are the parallels between Concorde and Network Marketing?"
Well, I just found out that there are many parallels between the rise and fall of Concorde and the rise and fall of many network marketing companies. The most striking ones are
The first parallel
Looking at new start network marketing, you find that 99% fail in the first 2 years and become Network Marketing history!
It did take longer than two years for Concorde to flounder and die, but many people who jumped on the Concorde bandwagon ended up with "burnt fingers" and empty pockets because they didn't think.
Perhaps the not thinking bit rings a few bells with you?
The second parallel
Concorde glorified itself by wallowing in it's own success and sonic sound, and as a consequence the backers all thought they did not have to listen to outside advice and egg on your face opinion. They were in their own "comfort bubble" which burst in spectacular fashion breaking many eggshells and leaving egg on many investors faces.
A lesson to learn
This highlights one of the most important skills that many network marketers have failed to master.
The skill of saying nothing and letting silence be your worthy companion is an educational "golden key".
Who wants to work in a sonic system that breaks so many eggshells? ... not me!
This is where all you hear is the sound that you and your mentors make. You completely loose the sound of the voices of the prospects you speak to.
The answer to a problem
With the correct training, you can easily turn your mind-set round and learn how to listen to what people are saying, and how to react to what these people say.
It's not rocket ( or Concorde ) science.
It's common sense, and everybody says that common sense is always worth following.
Together, people can make things happen, so why not start now?
