Tackling the Quality Question of HI-DEF TV, the bigger the screen you have the more quality of the signal becomes a critical factor viewing the same picture quality on a smaller screen of the PC or laptops. The most popular screen size is around 40 inches and that size is just enough to start showing signs of weak or bad signals. Beyond the 40 inch screen size, particularly at 60 inches and above signal quality is paramount.
Most of the service providers due to the different mode of transmission and the increasing dynamism of broadcasting technologies that is minimally regulated or at times with no control make tilling a regular problem. Few HI-DEF TV providers do not experience appreciable signal loss during transmission, even with this tilling is virtually impossible to eliminate tiling mostly because to do so would take the economics out of transmitting television signals over a wire.
Like I explained in one of my articles, Tiling happens when there is a brief signal interruption due to more bandwidth required for more transmission than can be allocated thereby causing some of the signal of the transmission to be dropped. This you would notice if you are watching soccer or other "fast moving" content you will likely see more tiling than if you watch slower moving content.
Digital Broadcasting Service (DBS) providers employed compression at the source of the signals that goes out to the subscribers, with broadband technology they use statistical multiplexing in delivering bundles of programs with multiple channels to their subscribers who received these signal with their cable devices. The cabling of the subscriber has to do with how the video components are connected to the subscriber unit.
