To receive digital free satellite TV, you need to know what satellite frequency and polarity the channel is transmitted on, the symbol rate and the forward error correction the channel utilize. You also need to know the broadcast format – NTSC, PAL DigiCipher, or DVB. You need to have a satellite dish if either C or KU band, a satellite receiver or a PC card with an antenna. You can also get a rotor instead for you to receive more than one satellite channel on your pc. Since it is free to air satellite, it is totally legal and works anywhere on the globe.

You do not need to purchase any extra hardware or TV card for your pc if you go for a satellite TV on PC software. This software pool all the channels links from their various websites and streamed them on your laptop for viewing.

So all you need is a good internet connection, install the program on your laptop and off you go enjoying satellite TV. You do not need to pay any subscriptions fees or recurring charges to watch the programs, just a one time fee of less than $50!
