Satellite Channels on Pc Vs. TV on Online – the Convergence

I have always have disdain for commercial during my favorite sitting through those commercial breaks and not being able to fast track them as you can do with a DVR. The fact is that these breaks are often much shorter than those offered on the originating sponsor television. More often than not, other TV stations airing the same program may have more than one sponsor for the show, so the commercial break varies. This is non existent or little when I am watching TV online.
With a satellite TV on PC software, you can have thousands of channels available to you for viewing. Watching TV online has become much fun and less stressful that having a TV or satellite tuner card install. The cost is very negligible when you compare the satellite TV on PC software to the tuner card which still needs you to install an external antenna. Again in many countries other than US, much of television programming is free to air, thus making online TV watching amenable.
The advent of broadband and fast Internet has continue to make watching TV online much more feasible. Many TV and broadcasting stations are increasing their effort to go online considering the convenience of e-commerce and the potential market on the Internet. Having tv on your pc is no longer a big deal as many stations operates the Free to air schemes and sites where one can easily stream these tv shows.
With the advanced technology we are witnessing in this era and the efforts to adapt all TV to online viewing, as well as efforts to render Internet services to the television, I am confident to say the day is fast approaching when we will be able to pick up a TV guide and watch TV online on our PCs according to the regular schedule.
The future goal of these emerging technologies is that, their convergence very soon in the future, will make possible for us to be able to watch the same shows that are airing on TV, at the same time online on our laptops and computers. For instance, some broadcasting stations are now offering their viewers, the opportunity to watch TV online, for the shows it is an avenue to increase their fan base and ratings.
For both the viewer and the broadcasting TV stations, the Internet is a leveraging platform for both parties to maximize their benefits. For the broadcasting stations, it is avenue to increase their market share and fan base for their programs and popular shows, while for the viewers, more option and choices of channels.
Conclusively for me, no more fear of missing any of my favorite show, all I have to do is check with the network’s Internet site. I might need to pay for the privilege of catching up, but I am thrilled being lucky and get to watch TV online free, with minimal commercial interruptions.
