The convergence of Technologies in the ICT (Information communication technologies) industry is a phenomenon to applaud. This is more pronounced with broadband Internet technology fusion with both hypermedia and multimedia technology.
The convergence of these technologies now allow faster streaming of all format of data especially video and images with a higher compression algorithm that delivers higher definition quality for television display as seen in High Definition Television (HDTV).
Many TV stations and broadcasting providers and resellers are making use of the Internet as they are all have web presence now to market their channels in order to increase fan base of their popular programs. Many broadband providers too are making good use of IPTV as an Internet protocol to deliver satellite channels to their numerous clients. Actually, I think it is common sense for them exploiting the Internet.
