Some of the more common jobs that are available for work campers are things such as, maintainance, cleaning, up keep of the grounds and helping customers. If you are skilled in any particular trade it is a good point to mention it when you are applying for a job. If you are a handy carpenter, the park may need a new bench or some fixtures repaired. These kind of jobs will usually garnish you with additional cash besides your food and board.

Often if you are helpful and have a nice disposition you will be offered the opportunity to stay on for the full season, and invited to go on trips around the area such as canoeing , biking, hunting, along with the paying customers. This is a very nice way to enjoy an exciting vacation at no extra cost to you.

If you are staying only for a few days then you should not expect more than your food and board. Some camp parks may only be able to offer you a subsidized bill, but this is better than having to pay the full amount.

When looking for a work camper job, peak season is always the best time. This way you can be sure that most camp parks will be in need of some extra hands. Although you may find some are at peak capacity and don't have any room for some more people.

Besides camping parks there are other ways to make money while holidaying. If you are near farms , it is a good idea to ask the farmer if they need any farm hands. If it is during a busy time of year ie: harvest season then you will be most welcome. If they are moving live stock then they may need some extra people. There are many ways to make money while vacationing that don't require you to do six hours a day. Most of the work camper jobs are light and you will still feel like you are enjoying your holiday while you are making some money.
