The name of this national park is after the name of god Keoladeo, Lord Shiva. This park is nesting native water- birds as well as migratory water birds and riverside birds. In this small wildlife park more than 300 species of birds are found. Migratory birds that come from as far away as Siberia and Central Asia to spend their winters in Bharatpur, are the major attractions to the tourists visiting the park.

Although, Bharatpur Wildlife Sanctuary is open throughout the year but still time period between August-November is the best for visiting. There are particular forest tracks, which can comfortably be covered on foot or on a cycle. Rickshaws are also available on hire. Bird watching depends greatly on the right season, timing, and above all patience, so its better to visit the sanctuary during the visiting time duration only.

Ranthambore National Park

It’s surrounded by the Vindhya and Aravali hill ranges and is considered to be one of the best tiger reserves in the nation. It is located very near to the outer edge of the Thar Desert. This place presents the best of the desert and as well as plain area near the hills abandoned fortress. Ranthambore National Park is popular for its friendly tigers. If you are keen to see the magnificent predators in the wild then it is one of the best places in the country to visit.

Mount Abu Santuary

You will be welcomed to the Mount Abu Santuary with a sign displayed at the entrance" Use your eyes to see the plants, birds and animals, use your ears to hear birds and animals call, use your legs to walk --the more you walk, the more you see and hear"

This Sanctuary has sprawling greens, which is a home to panthers, bears, sambars, foxes, wild boars and numerous eye-catching birds. The sanctuary is open daily from 8 am to 5 pm with a minimal entry fee. It’s here in Mount Abu, the only place in Rajasthan, where you can watch a variety of orchids. The sanctuary is wealthy in herbal medicinal plants also. There are many other animals found here like Sambhar, Jungle Cat, Small Indian Civet, Wolf, Hyaena, Jackal, Indian Fox, Common Langoor, Wild Boar, Pangolin, Rate! Common Mongoose, Indian Hare, Porcupine, Hedgehog, etc. The population of Sloth Bear is increasing regularly as it can be seen while going through the forests or motoring on the road. The sanctuary makes available an ideal habitat for Sloth Bear.
