If you are looking to buy camp stoves, don’t settle for anything but the best: Coleman Camp Stoves. How can I state this, so emphatically? I am going to enumerate the various reasons for my conviction that these stoves are the best.
To begin with, the manufacturers have made a name for themselves in every product related to camping. These include sleeping gear, tents, cooking gear, etc. In fact, it wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say that the phrase “roughing it out” has become passé, considering the number of creature comforts this company provides campers.
The quality of the products is undisputed, and the tag of “Coleman Camper” is applied to people who buy the products.
The choice of a stove from the Coleman brand will depend on how far you plan to travel, how many people will be in the travel group, and the mode of travel, apart from what fuel you prefer to use.
These stoves are available in multi-burner designs to suit users who want to cook more than one thing at a time. This is especially suitable for larger groups. You can get as many as six burners in a stove.
A single burner stove would be the most useful for shorter trips, especially if you are traveling alone. That’s because, the number of burners will also determine the weight of the stove, and people prefer something as portable as possible.
However, not every model is portable. To quote an instance, take the Coleman 442 dual fuel stove, which is quite bulky.
The type of fuel used is another important consideration. Propane is the most popular fuel, while white gas is the best choice for high altitudes. That said, liquid gas is the most environment friendly fuel of all.
The march of technology has insured that problems such as leaks, flare ups and failure to stay lit are all things of the past. Self starter flame controls and self-cleaning fuel jets help make these stove state-of-the-art in character.
The company offers stoves in a range of BTU ratings. For the uninitiated, BTU stands for British Thermal Unit and is a measure of a stove’s efficiency.
A comforting factor is the fact that these stoves are available everywhere. Even fuel refill bottles are available in most camp stores. When you do use the stove, make sure you comply with Coleman's lighting instructions as meticulously as you can, or it may not burn. In winter, you have to warm the stove before your cooking can begin.
